Homeward Bound!

Baring some crisis I am only 17 hours away from home. One nine hour plane ride from Hong Kong to LA and a short hop to Seattle later and it will all be a memory and an incredible memory at that. I can't believe it is over already. This hasn't been just a journey across the middle kingdom but a journey of growth and self discovery. I look forward to seeing you all soon.

Hi Ashley,
you might find this very strange but I randomly found your blogsite through a google search on the inner mongolia grasslands or CITS or the Resonant Sand Gorge (to be honest I don't remember which search came upon your blog) Anyway....I am a dutch woman living in Ottawa, Canada and am going to China together with my husband and 2 other friends in about 4 weeks. We are planning to do a very similar trip to Inner Mongolia as you did and I was wondering if you could tell me how you booked the trip. You had mentioned you went through CITS and that the cost was 380 RMB but I recently contacted them about the same trip and they came back with a way costier price. Did you book the trip when you arrived in Hohhot, or before getting there?
I hope you can give me an answer. I've lived in China before and know there's often bartering involved but never had to do that with a travelling company.
By the way, I really enjoyed reading about your adventures,I've been to many of the places you visited and it felt like I got to experience my trips again. I read you had some kind of bad experience and am very sorry to hear that, I kept you in my prayers since reading it (although I knew it had already passed)I hope and pray you'll make it home safe.
Be Blessed,
Carla
